Drag to set position!
Senior Research Fellow at the Harry Butler Institute, Murdoch University and Research Associate at the Western Australian Museum and the University of Hamburg (so somewhat a spider professional). I love macrophotography.
I maintain this flickr site to provide authoritative photographs of Australian spiders to aid their identification in the field. I sometimes add notes in the picture to illustrate diagnostic features.
My main groups of interest are wolf spiders (Lycosidae), orb-weaving spiders (Araneidae) and trapdoor spiders (Mygalomorphae). I will occasionally identify spiders of other group members in the "Australian Spider" group, but keep comments about spiders I know less about (e.g. Jumping Spiders (Salticidae)) to a minimum.
I don't see a point to add multiple photos of the same spider to my photostream, except if diagnostic features can't be seen through a single shot. I go for diversity (i.e. as many different species/genera/families as possible) rather then pure numbers ;-)
