ADE is the only scientific survey organisation that conducts surveys on foot in remote areas combined with providing an instructive ecotourism experience for paying trekkers.

ADE surveys are a success because we walk in the landscape, thereby unravelling the secrets of the desert as they appear underfoot.

By walking alongside traditionally outfitted packcamels, ADE also continues the historical spirit and significant cultural heritage of scientific desert exploration of the 19th and 20th Centuries.

Australian Desert Expedition (ADE) was founded in 2007 and is a Deductible Gift Recipient (ABN 80 134 680 434) for the purposes of tax deductibility of donations made to it. It is also a prescribed organisation on the Australian Government Register of Environmental Organisations, a Charitable Institution and an Income Tax Exempt Charity, with consequent taxation exemption benefits.
