Hello, my name is Austin, and i'm a 16 year old male, who also just happens to be an aspiring photographer. At the time I wrote this it was July 14, 2010, and I have only been taking pictures with a DSLR for 1 week.

My old hobbies included things such as competitive football, basketball and baseball (yes I was a sports kind of guy!) But, as I got older I realized academics was the thing I should pay the most attention too, and as a result, I decided to put aside the sports side of me, and concentrate on school. (I am still however an avid sports viewer and follower!) As a result of my increased academic awareness, I have achieved and maintained honors as well as exceed the level of excellence put forth in my public school system.

I have been extremely interested in photography for as long as I remember. I always enjoyed fiddling with my dad's old 35mm Nikon. I would smile with delight as I captured a shot of a loved one, always looking for ways to alter the image to my choosing. DSLR's and digital photography is long-overdue for me. It is however, most likely just a passion. I'm on the fence right now on what I want to study, and be, after secondary school. The two occupational choices are veterinarian or archaeologist.

As of right now, Macro and landscape photography are the most prominent in my day to day shooting. I use a Nikon D90, with an 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. My next investment will hopefully be a 105mm f/2.8 macro lens.
