Ashley has such an energetic and joyful spirit. You really feel it when he generously comments on the work of those whose images he admires. I definitely smile whenever I see the word "matey" tucked somewhere into his kind remarks; it's really his endearing trademark. A devoted dad and avid hiker in the Kern County Mountains, Ashley has become quite the wildflower aficionado, often returning with wonderful images of unsual blossoms found during his adventures. From the Land Down Under, to Ridgecrest Ca... I've been a contact of Ashley's for several months now...had to be the Formula 1 connection that got it started. What I noticed first was his keen eye for places in the Sierra Nevada mountains that I've been to as well. Ashley has photographed these familiar places and exhibited them here on Flickr in ways that remind me of how these places looked when I saw them last. Most places he sees, photographs and shares here, I'll not ever see again (unless I can helicopter in) so I look forward to seeing what landscape is presented next...
