I am a dad and started using this site to upload numerous photos taken of our family, our kids, our travels, and our adventures. It started out being small in number, but quickly grew when during our kids' dance competitions, folks asked me to shoot their kids' dance routines, and pretty soon grew almost of control. So, with Flickr, I began uploading all of the photos for folks to view and families to easily download and make prints for whoever they so choose. This way, I could unload the massive amount of data on my hard drives. I use Macs and a variety of digital cameras. The hardest part with shooting at dance competitions is the rules of no flash, interesting lighting in the various auditoriums, and often not being able to get the choicest spots--so bear with and understand.
