A Thousand Splendid Dolls

Dolls have changed my life. I've loved them since I was two years old, and I was given my first doll--a secondhand, half bald Ice Capades Barbie. Through the years, they've comforted me when I needed them the most, they've kept me busy for hours, and they inspired me to be the best version of myself. There were times in my life when I felt embarrassed about my love for dolls, and I second guessed myself. I even stopped collecting dollies for five years (from 2006 to 2011). But after rediscovering my love for them in 2011, I realized that I had given them up for the wrong reasons. The truth is, I never "outgrew" dolls...rather, I thought I had to let them go to conform to the standards set by society. By allowing myself to enjoy dolls again, I not only rediscovered a childhood pastime, but I also found myself.
My dolls have taught me so many lessons, but the greatest has to be that life is all about being true to yourself and finding happiness. My dolls mean the world to me for so many reasons. They remind me of all the people I care most about in life. Dolls were always a shared passion between my sister and me. They were our imaginary world, our own personal "language" that the two of us shared with each other, and continue to even as adults. The last year my father was alive, was the also the year I decided to collect dolls again. As much as I loved my dolls growing up, it was actually the unintentional timing that they reemerged into my life, that made them such an important, inseparable part of me. Through them, I renewed my desire to create art, I learned to look for the best in everything, I found self confidence and self love, and I've accepted through my dolls that life isn't about the destination, it is about the journey there. Every mistake, every poor decision, and every event in my life has made me the person that I am, and has shaped my collection into what it is now, and for that I could not be more grateful. It is because of my dolls that I now embrace change and surround myself only with positivity. I am here because I want to share all the love and happiness that my dolls have filled me with, and I hope to inspire and empower others to fill their lives with positivity, and to be true to themselves.

Basically I love what you have created on YT its refreshingly real and true I completely admire what you've done and how you've done it.... I am so impressed by the variety of dolls you have and the way you arrange them for pics and for videos. You are so creative11 I practically roared with laughter over the Dolly Diaries!! I loved the vampire character especially. Also love what you've done with the LOL and OMG dolls. Thank you for your loving and caring attitudes!! I was so sad to see the video posted about the hate you have received. People really have nothing better to do than to tear down another human being for sharing a bit of themselves on the internet? Why do people care so much what other people say or do? I hope you decide to come back because your content is genuine and real and refreshing. If people don’t like it they don’t have to watch it. After viewing your material my 8 year old daughter wanted to start photographing our doll collection, so you have inspired us to do something new with our dolls. Don’t lose hope in all humanity. There are still some good people left.

I recently discovered her YouTube channel and have found her content so informative, helpful, and comforting. I too used to collect toys and dolls years ago and stopped but recently began again. It's been a great help as I routinely experience anxiety and depression but I'm pregnant with my third child and have had some pretty severe prenatal depression and acquiring and tending to my dolls has helped immensely. I've recently gotten into Monster High and I'm so excited to collect them and other lines! Thank you for everything you have done for this community 💕
