The unique ASTUTE pan-Wales Partnership of 8 Universities is there to assist manufacturing enterprises in West Wales and the Valleys through Specialist Business Development Advice, Assistance, and Technical Collaboration in the area of R&D. ASTUTE has been part-funded by the EU’s Convergence European Regional development Fund through the Welsh Government.

The £27million 5 year project targets aerospace, automotive, composites, medical devices and optoelectronics sectors along with other high value manufacturing companies to create sustainable, higher value goods and services making Welsh companies more competitive in the global marketplace.
