Got hooked on amateur astronomy at the tender age of 43. Now I'm an astro-junky!!! If I don't get my fix of gazing around the heavens, I'm a very grumpy boy indeed!

Most of my astro photos are taken with the following equipment:-

- Orion SkyQuest XT10 (10-inch dobsonian telescope).

- Meade LPI or Philips SPC900NC webcam.

- Celestron 2x barlow (sometimes).

- I have also built a kitset EQ platform (TLSystem) to allow limited tracking.

Equipment update...

As of late-November 2009, my EQ platform will be replaced by an EQ6 Pro mount and scope rings to hold the 10" telescope OTA. I have also sold the Meade LPI and Philips SPC900NC webcam in order to purchase an Imaging Source DMK41AF02.AS camera.

My "day job" is running my own home automation installation company - Total Control.
