I started photography in 1992. After meeting photographer Phil Borges at the Tabo Gompa in India in 1996 and seeing the detail in his photographs, I switched to medium format shortly afterwards. Since then most of my analog photography has been done with a medium format camera.
In 2001 I travelled through India, Nepal, Thailand and Laos for 9 months. A wonderful experience.
In 2007 I bought my first digital camera. Although digital photography has a lot of advantages over analogue photography, I did not enjoy digital photography. To me, it was too easy and for me, the challenge was gone. After trying out some medium format cameras, I finally bought a 4x5 field camera. This camera has brought the joy in photography back to me and I use it for almost all of my photos. However, costs got to high so in october 2012 I went back to digital. Now fullframe. I must admit that since then I am enjoying digital photography a lot more than previously.
I love to travel, especially to the mountains and to Asia.
