Panasonic is really nice cam for real beginers.In my suggestion,there is no need to jump directly on DSLR cams. This cam have many things from which you can learn.

 

And the Canon 50D is the a DSLR and really a good cam. Still discovering this beast.

 

i have learned alot by Flickr and nice peoples here helped me alot. It has been over 1 year, since i have joined it. and in these 1 yr flickr gave me so much to learn.

 

Usually ,those who add me as contact, i add them back. Sure some exceptions are there ;).
