Having gained a BA in History and MA in Journalism, my early career spanned both journalism [Evening Standard/Independent] and government communications. I had the fascinating experience of working as a parliamentary staffer throughout the Brexit referendum before going on to work at the UK’s Department for Environment, working on issues that stemmed from that crucial moment and with a focus on marine conservation.

For the last 14 years I have lived with a complicated set of vision issues which have severely impacted my ability to work and engage in a range of day-to-day activities. Born in Stoke-on-Trent to Anglo-Indian parents, I am now based in Bristol.
