Ashkan is a wonderful and creative photographer and an even more amazing person. I first encountered his work when I joined the Scientist Photographer's Group. I was truly impressed by both the quality and the range of his work. He founded this wonderful group that is filled with creative and intelligent people from all over the world representing many professions and passions. It rapidly became my favorite place on flickr - largely because it reflects Ashkan's open and accepting personality. One of my biggest honors as a photographer was being accepted into the ranks of administrators for this group. I'm pleased to count Ashkan as a friend.

I "met" Ashkan several months ago after I discovered some of his night shots that he took of Chicago. Since then, I have explored his photostream and have been impressed with the quality and variety of his work - from night photography, architecture, to capturing and sharing special moments in his life. I always enjoy visiting his photostream! Over the past few months, I have gotten to know Ashkan better through the Scientist Photographers group here on flickr. He is the founder of this group and it is truly his energy and enthusiasm that has helped make the Scientist Photographer pool one of the best in flickr. Besides being a wonderful photographer, his vision and leadership skills are among the qualities that I admire in Ashkan. But most importantly, it is his friendship that I value the most. His comments are always positive and constructive and I truly appreciate his visits to my photostream. Once I saw a beautiful landscape of night shot of Baltimore, thus meet this young man. I was so impressed by many of his Baltimore shots as well as the photos of architectures. Ashkan has a brilliant style of taking architectural shots. His impressive style of photography makes me to visit his photo stream often. Besides good in photography, Ashkan is a good organizer , and he is the founder of Scientist photographer which is an active group in Flickr. If I evaluate Ashkan based on the style of photo he likes and the comments he posts, I would say he is a philospher, a good listener, is so beloved to his friends, and he likes to keep friendship for long.
