UPDATE

I'm heart broken to have to write this update regarding my beautiful Asha, she sadly passed away 05th October 2021. It was just another Tuesday morning and Asha was her usual self and full of life when suddenly she collapsed with multiple mini seizures and died later on that night. The vet said her immune system for some reason attacked her major organs and she passed away peacefully. I feel so lost and empty without Asha by my side as she had been constantly for the past 10 years. When my previous border collie Sasha died we got Asha in memory of her and it felt like my beautiful Sasha had come back to me again through wee puppy Asha. I'm hoping the same thing will happen again when I get my next wee border collie pup that it will be Asha come back in some way through the wee puppy. My main aim with my Asha pictures was to make people smile through her pictures and our humor. There wasn't a day that went by that Asha didn't make me smile and I just wanted to share that. I will continue to upload more pictures of Asha to this account as I have taken many pictures of her over the years so her story still goes on. Asha will live on through her pictures and continue to make her mark on this world. She was truly a remarkable dog and will live on in my heart and through her pictures. She was loved by all her knew her. Asha the star of County Down will still shine brightly and will be sorely missed by all who loved her. 13/07/2011 - 05/10/21 "LOVE NEVER DIES..." Connie

Asha and I have moved to a new account on flickr (ashaconniekells), hopefully the above link will take you straight to us. Decided as Asha was the most important in this relationship on flickr I would put her name first. As you know flickr has changed their rules for non pro account holders to only upload 1000 pictures. I debated whether to go Pro or not and came up with the conclusion that it would be better to open a new account and continue on from there. There were two main reasons, the first being I didn't want to get into a yearly contract in case some time in the future I wasn't able to pay the yearly subscription and I had thousands of pictures....Would flickr delete all the pictures over 1000? Also with my years being on flickr I've come to realise that most people don't go that far back on your photostream, they just don't have the time to go further back than 10 pages (most would just view the current page I'm sure so what is the point in having more than 10 pages?).

I hope our friends and followers on flickr understand our reasons and will follow Asha and myself over to our new account. I hope in time I will get around to following all our friends and followers on our new account. I have actually added all the pictures here into 'Galleries' on our new account so if you are in our new account you can still see these older pictures in 'Galleries'.

I'm going to continue to keep this account open as well and will come into it from time to time to keep it active in case flickr delete it because of inactivity. So you might still get faves from here and I will probably upload some of the pictures to groups etc to keep it active.

Asha and I want to thank you ALL for your support and following and comments. We appreciated each and every one...Lots of Love...Connie & Asha xxx

There is not much for me to say about myself other than I have a Border Collie called Asha whom I love dearly and love to take pictures of her as she literally poses for the camera. I'm not a photographer only started taking pictures when I discovered Asha will pose for them which I'm told is extremely rare for dogs to do as they are generally camera shy. Asha has loads of personality and I hope this comes through in my pictures of her and pulls up for my lack of ability at taking pictures as I literally know nothing about photography. I hope you enjoy looking at my pictures of Asha....Thank you for looking...Connie and Asha xxx

Connie you have the talent of "seeing" things, rather than just looking at them. The sea shells for example, as well as many of the other pictures you have posted. Connie you have the talent of "seeing" things, rather than just looking at them. The sea shells for example, as well as many of the other pictures you have posted. A lot of people would walk by the shells and might say "oh, isn't that pretty", or maybe pick up a few, or maybe not do either. But you saw something more and recorded it with your camera. You don't have to know a lot about photography to see things, but you must be able to see things to be a good photographer. I hope that makes sense. There is a book called "Photography the Art of Seeing: A Visual Perception Workshop" by Freeman Patterson. I found it very helpful. That being said, you also have a lot of creativity, and those pictures of Asha, as well as the others, makes that very clear. They make people smile and that is an important thing in photography.
