The goal of ASAI is to give ambitious students from Government schools in the rural areas of Tamil Nadu, a good chance to pursue their higher education. To fulfill that goal we started a program called ‘Vidya Viruksham’. Through this program, we target students studying in classes 10, 11, and 12. We coach them after school to help them do well in their examinations.

In 2013, when our program took its first breath, we started out with 8 schools that we got in touch with through our networks. The classes that we have taken over the past four years have proven to be extremely beneficial to the students and for us, they have been gratifying. Since the inception of the trust, we have been fortunate to mentor and help about 1500 students in their secondary and higher secondary examinations.

The support we provide has been well received by the student community and the schools. This has spurred us on to think bigger. We want to reach out to more schools in the rural areas of Tamil Nadu and bring more children under the purview of this program.
