Aryeh Alex is the Sustainability Manager for the City of Columbus Department of Public Service and Executive Director of Keep Columbus Beautiful, leading waste reduction, recycling, composting, and litter initiatives. He also serves as a Park Commissioner for Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks, helping manage Ohio’s largest park district.

With a background in environmental advocacy, Aryeh previously served as VP of External Affairs at the Ohio Environmental Council and Regional Campaigns Director for SEIU. He also led public service efforts as a Franklin Township Trustee, overseeing a $10 million budget and first responder services. Beyond work, Aryeh is passionate about hiking, national parks, and nature photography, dedicating his career to building a greener, equitable, and more sustainable future.
