Sarika Dandona, is a self-taught Abstract & Fine Art Photographer and winner of several international awards at the prestigious Prix De La Photographie, Paris and the Australian International Loupe Awards (earlier International Aperture Awards). Her work was recently presented as part of a group exhibition, "Transmundane: beyond this world" at Arpana Caur Gallery, Siri Fort, New Delhi from Oct 19-28, 2012 and as part of a large global art exhibition, “Art Takes Time Square” on June 18, 2012 in New York City.

She has been showcased as an upcoming photographer in Smart Photography (November 2008) and featured in Better Photography (February 2010), the two leading photography and imaging magazines in India. Her work has also been commissioned by Penguin Books India for the cover of the book titled "What Really Happened" by author Banaphool (Arunava Sinha Tr).

Her work invokes intense imagination and explores the intricacies involved in the interplay of light and shadows. There is a celebration of intrigue and surreal abstractions derived from a sheer concoction of colours, shapes, contours, textures and transience in material states. Her images are visual metaphors of mundane objects that are transformed through unique macro perspectives and aim to provoke and challenge perceptions and first impressions.

A biotechnologist and ex-Journalist, she is also an entrepreneur and consultant in the field of Healthcare Delivery, Biomedical Devices and Pharmaceuticals.
