ART YOWZA offers an exciting visual arts program that supports the development of new creative skills. We empower kids to think and use their imaginations. Our nurturing environment encourages unique self-expression and self-esteem. The small class size, individualized attention, stimulating environment, and beautiful setting make it possible for every camper to blossom. We value high quality art, friendship and fun.

REBECCA STEES has been joyously teaching art to kids, teens and adults for 24 years.

Since moving to Alameda in 2003, in addition to starting ART YOWZA (Camps for Kids & Classes for Adults), she’s taught after-school at Bay Farm, Earhart, Otis, Edison, Franklin, Miller, and Paden.

She was a well-loved teacher in the Gifted and Talented Program at Roosevelt School in San Leandro and a favorite artist-in-residence at schools throughout Contra Costa County through Walnut Creek Civic Arts Education.

Rebecca’s disabled t students at Creative Growth Art Gallery in downtown Oakland have been internationally exhibited.
