I'm just a ridiculous person who loves to create ethereal artworks by combining multiple photos, live models and tons of digital painting.

 

I'm a retired cosplayer and a manga artist who doesn't even know how to draw properly. I love to shoot and edit videos to create stories but I'm not a videographer nor a film director as well.

 

I'm good in traditional drawing but poor in digital illustration. I call myself ART NINJA because I always use my "Ninja" powers to improvise and to overcome my flaws.

I don't even know what is a "Mask" tool in Photoshop.

I take photos of my friends to experiment with using a small digital camera in a SUB-STANDARD way. HOWEVER, I'll just grab their photos online if we're both in a lazy mood to shoot. I prefer the cinematic scenes in photos than the common "studio" looks.

 

Because I'm a Photoshop idiot, I also use several editing software and online editors. I even use Adobe Premiere. Yes, a video editing software to edit photos. I love the result in some of the effects.

 

I also love designing fictional characters and write stories. My character designing techniques are also sub-standard. I love doing my "shitty" works in my own unique way.

 

I have a chocolate addiction. Well, this is out of topic!

I'm a frustrated artist who decided to quit for more than a decade until I was inspired by the works of the talented Robert Cornelius and Renee Robyn.

 

Not to mention my friends who showed their trust and support.....that I can install Photoshop and Adobe Premiere correctly! I don't even know what is a crack. Damn!

While I'm creating non-sense and weird concepts, I'm also busy in my corporate life and family. I edit photos and videos as my freelance job. I also love to travel....

 

..travel in my dreams because I have no money.

 

I'm silly, crazy and I have NO SHAME every time I need to use myself as my own model with the help of the awesome camera timer...

REASONS

why I chose to practice Photo Manipulation

 

1. I'm a fantasy lover since a kid. I use to draw unique realms and characters. Since I didn't get the chance to learn digital illustration, I use photos and live models to bring them to life.

 

2. I have no DSLR. I usually take photos using a small digital camera or cellphone. Because of limited settings, I learned how to retouch the images during post production.

 

3. I encountered many dedicated cosplayers who can't afford to get a decent costume or props. To fulfill their dreams, I asked them to improvise from their closet and I will do the rest. Besides, cosplaying is bringing your favorite characters to life. It's the concept and passion that counts, not on how it was made. (Unless for cosplay competition or modelling purposes).

 

4. Not all clients can afford location shoots. Some can, but doesn't have much time to schedule one. This is when I need to summon all my 'powers' to make it memorable by 'transporting' them to their desired setting specially for once in a lifetime events like wedding.

 

5. For Fantasy and Anime shoots, I create the most appropriate location as their background through Matte Painting. Though location shoots can contribute a lot, we should also consider the fact that fictional settings didn't exist in real life. I really need to construct one for the sake of accuracy and uniqueness.
