I recently (summer of 2008) bought my first D-SLR and it's fantastic... a Nikon d60. I'm looking to improve both in technique and in overall ability to spot and create an engaging composition that speaks for itself. All types of photography interest me and I have yet to find my own personal style, so to speak.

Flickr has been a fantastic place for me to find inspiration for creativity and to see what is possible. It seems that skill, although important, is outweighed by curiosity and a keen interest in whatever the subject may be in order to produce an image that truly communicates.

All comments are welcome, especially if they help me see what other people see in specific photos.
