The Art Gallery of NSW exists to open eyes and minds to the wonder and value of art. Through our collection, exhibitions, programs and scholarship we aim to inspire our visitors’ emotional and intellectual engagement with art. Our ambition is to introduce art to new audiences, to provide new emotional and intellectual journeys for our existing audiences and provide visitors with experiences that are both enjoyable and enduring. We want to push boundaries and challenge ourselves to present art in creative ways and to create an environment in which everyone feels welcome.
