When I began on Flickr (oh, so many years ago), I was simply posting some of my photos to upload on my blog. I started photography when I was a kid, with a little Brownie camera. My first photo adventure was The Grand Canyon! I never really pursued it beyond snapshots because of the expense. I wish I'd had a digital camera back then!! Whenever I encountered landscapes, though, I tried to make art. Now I've branched out, being travel-deprived, and have begun making composite art in Photoshop. Photos have mostly become "collage fodder", except for the occasional set-up still life (and I still take photos of my family, but rarely post them online). I'm using CS5 now and I am creating scenes from my own imagination. Hopefully, some of those at least, are inspired. Of course, a lot of the art I make and show on Flickr is just for fun. I enjoy playing around on the computer and sharing my creations with my friends and acquaintances old and new. Lately, my long-pursued writing career is at the brink of being launched, and some of my time is taken making illustrations, which of course you will not see until they are published. This has kept me from spending much time on Flickr, but I still try to keep up with my friends when I can.

This was my statement from before, which I won't take down because it actually does have some info.

"I'm an artist who uses photography as a means of expression and as a tool to share my vision and my enjoyment of the beauty in God's creation. Some of the early photos posted on Flickr were taken with a Canon Powershot 400. Now I have a Canon Rebel XTi (EOS 400D) and I have recently replaced the kit lens with a great zoom lens, the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM. I also use a Canon Macro Lens EF 100mm f/2.8 USM. I am still, and always will be, a learner."

I always appreciate your visits, comments, faves and invites, but I don't expect or require them. My time on Flickr is limited, as is my participation in groups. I hope you will enjoy my photostream and that it will inspire you! My continued thanks for all the views!!
