Schwerpunkte meiner Arbeit sind urbane Stillleben.

Aktuell verschwende ich eine Menge Zeit, Geld und Energie mit dem Fotografieren und Archivieren von archäologisch wertvollen Joysticks und Videospiel Controllern (Projektname: Spritekollision). Ich liebe es.

Ich verwende eine Nikon D800, sowie eine Menge an weitgehend überflüssigem Equipment.

Leben

Ich wurde Anfang der 70er Jahre des letzten Jahrtausends geboren, als Mode bunt war und Telefone noch Spiralkabeln hatten. Damals war Fernsehen noch schwarz-weiß und wurde als Innovation gefeiert, die die Welt zu uns nach Hause brachte. 8 Bits wurden als hi-res bezeichnet.

Also verbrachte ich die meiste Zeit vor dem Fernseher, wo ich beobachtete, wie globale Konflikte innerhalb von 40 Minuten (inkl. Werbepause) gelöst wurden oder indem ich Videospiele spielte.

My work focusses on urban still life.

Lately I have been spending too much time, energy and disposable income on photographing and archiving video game controllers and long forgotten joysticks (alias: Spritekollision).

I am using a Nikon D800 and tons of mostly unnecessary equipment. I love it.

My Life

I was born in the 1970s when fashion was too coloured and telephones still had spiral cords attached. TV was too black and white but was celebrated as the latest fad that brought the world to our homes. Anything 8 bit was considered hi-res.

So I spent most of my time front of the TV, watching global conflicts getting resolved within 40 minutes-shows (including one commercial break) or nourishing my senses, soul and visual abilities by playing video games.
