I was born 1972 in Vienna and first started a “classic” career as a psychologist/psychotherapist. Always calling these professions “last bastions of creative people who can’t draw” I had to admit, that beeing a creative psychologist was not enough for me. So I went back to university and started to study ceramics.

My workshops are in Klosterneuburg – a small town near Vienna, where my mother owns a house and where there is enough space for my kilns, for my glazing-stuff, for working with plaster and for making friends with the local fire brigarde – and in Vienna, in my flat, where I do the designing.

My works – functional or not – live from the contrast between coarse and fine, I love edges that cast shadows on the surface and I love plain clay – a lot of my works are not or only partially glazed.
