I grew up in Boulder, Colorado. Local landscapes --including the Rocky Mountains and Mesa Verde -- inspired me to pursue visual art. In 1984 I moved to California and enrolled in architecture, sculpture, mixed-media, and illustration courses.

I finished my formal art education at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where color pencil, ceramics, photography, and multimedia painting occupied my time. I earned a BFA (with an emphasis in oil painting) and BA in psychology in 1996.

Now I'm an active artist predominantly creating abstract and landscape oil paintings and occasionally exhibiting my work in San Francisco Bay Area venues. For years, I was the Sr. Editor for Flickr and enjoyed producing stories and curating photography. I'm now the Social Media Content Manager for NVIDIA.
