Michael Neff is an artist, designer, and photographer living and working in San Francisco, California.

He is known for , an ongoing project in which he outlines shadows with chalk and photographs the result, as well as projects that include the practices of observation, aggregation, and presentation in an attempt to expose the interest of our daily world.

Neff is an alumnus of the Rhode Island School of Design and currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees and as Chair of the RISD President's Alumni Advisory Council.
