The “National Centre for Legislative Regulation Project Implementation Unit” (PIU) was established under the Staff of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in October 2011. The PIU is mandated to execute the decisions of the Council of Legal Acts Reforms Regulating the Economic Sphere of the Republic of Armenia (Reform Council).

Through updating regulatory policies and policy instruments the PIU aims to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of public service delivery by removing administrative hurdles and corruption risks and thus keeping the business environment of Armenia open for foreign investments.
