I am a South African adventure seeker currently working as a freelance photographer in the heart of the persian gulf. Photography has been my way of life for the past 8 or so years. Holidays are now revered to as photographical excursions. I’m mostly self taught, but I go to every workshop and course I can get my hands on. The learning process can be a lot faster if you are able to hang around some of the big boys (and ladies!) in the business and feed on the information they give you. I believe a self taught photographer has a huge advantage to the rest of the photo freak show. Nobody gave them a test on the do's and don’ts of for instance a fashion shoot. These are the motivated minds that learn in the field. Trial and error is the best teacher.
