I am not much of a photographer. Frankly I don´t know anything about it. I don´t care.

I like moments. Sometimes I try to catch and preserve them, like Dr Faustus: "Verweile doch, Du bist so schön" - pretty silly, huh?

I also love details, always loved them.

My equipment started with a Casio Exilim Z110 and a Nokia 6280 cellphone with a 2 megapixel camera and a really bad lense. I upgraded to a Nokia 6500 slide and recently to a Nokia 6700 slide and bought a Leica D-Lux 2 as an occasion some time ago. The Leica still gives me headaches sometimes: So many options, so many buttons, such a huge manual full of technical terms I never heard before or never bothered about..

For the moment my equipment is a Panasonic Lumix FZ200 and a Nokia Lumia 1020.

A few friends - there are only few friends anyway - tried to convince me I had "an eye", what ever that means. Thery`re flattering or just compassionate maybe.

So anyway, here I am.

Oh, and since somebody wanted to know: I´m turning 60 this year.

Edit: Okayokay, I did *somewhat* improve my skills possibly. I bought a book "Digital Photography for Dummies", and I found the manual of my Casio again. One time I may even find the time and be in the mood to read both of them.

Your friends are wrong...you actually have two eyes. Moments are the objective in a subjective sort of way. I like the moments I have seen in your feed here. I will take a moment from time to time to check back...but just for a moment. 😊 Nice work !

Well, I think that your friends have it pretty well said. Your "eye" has excellent taste in scenes and I always look forward to your photos in my feed. Thank you. Oh, and I love the memories they bring me of the years that I spent in Europe.
