Through its collections Armagh County Museum tells the story of the people who have lived and worked in County Armagh, Northern Ireland, from prehistoric times to the present day.
This Flickr site is designed to highlight the museum's collections, especially the photographic archive called the Scott collection.
Ernest Scott owned Allison Studios in Armagh, Northern Ireland between 1952 and the late 1970s and took over a third of a million photos in that period. These black and white medium format negatives are a window into the lives of Armagh people during the second half of the twentieth century.
Other parts of the photo collection such as the museum's colour slides taken by staff over the years also form part of this photostream. As other parts of the collection are digitised we will also be adding images of those objects.
All the images on the museum's Flickr photostream are only available to view and download for private study or academic purposes. Any queries about copying, publishing or copyright please contact, acm.info@armaghbanbridgecraigavon.gov.uk
