I'm a longtime resident of Arlington, TX, here since 1965. I have always enjoyed photography, and I have taken many, many photos of family and of the flora and fauna in my own yard especially. Then, in 2005, I started taking photos of the area where the new football stadium was to be built--getting pictures of houses, apartments, and businesses before they were torn down and then the demolitions. Next came photos of the construction of the stadium over the many years it took to be finished, and then the completed stadium in use. The photo-taking spread outward to include the area nearby and its changes and came to include not only the stadium area but also the entire entertainment district, downtown, and UTA. As the photographic project has evolved, it came to document changes and various events in these areas of Arlington. I almost always have my camera with me and am looking about for photographic opportunities.
