I grew up in the seventies and eighties in the Ouachita Mountains of western Arkansas. By the time I was able to mow yards and sell Grit door to door to make some money, I had a 35mm camera, courtesy of the local Bill's Dollar Store.

It wasn't fancy... and later, I "won" another, a little nicer point-and-shoot model, for selling a lot of something or other... With this one, I even won a blue ribbon at the county fair. In high school, I joined the yearbook staff as one of the two official photographers, and had a great time doing it.

For years, my hobby has lain idle, with pics here and there, but no serious "fun" stuff. Then, along came digital..... Inspired by the people and climate and country that is central Pennsylvania, I have once again picked up my camera and every day I learn a little more about the art.
