ARISTOTELES WORKSHOP is an HDTV training and development program based in Romania.

AW is supported by the TV channel ARTE, offering a hands-on approach to documentary film-making and a continuous tutoring system.

Courses are designed for people with previous film and/or video experience. The ideal composition of the group is that of young documentary filmmakers, producers, directors, DPs, and editors.

AW aims to foster a new generation of creative documentary filmmakers in Central and Eastern Europe.

16 participants, divided in groups of 4, are guided through each step of documentary production, from pitch to planning, production and post-production.

Established and respected professionals help them translate their own ideas into fresh, ground breaking documentaries ready for broadcast and entirely marketable.

AWA participants have produced international award winning documentaries, such as:
