Jakarta-based freelance photographer Arief Sunarya spent several years switching jobs in the media industry after graduating from one of the country’s top art schools when he finally decided to plunge into the world of professional photojournalism. His works, mostly feature photographs on people and the environment, have appeared in various local and regional magazines such as Rolling Stone Indonesia, Tempo English Magazine, Asian Geographic, Bizarre, Newsweek Japan, The Australian, Geographical and very recently Bloomberg Market Magazine. He has also participated in numerous international photo exhibition in Indonesia such as International CP biennale 2005: URBAN CULTURE and Jakarta International Photo Summit 2007.
