I'm Alex, and I'm a student at Northwestern University. Photography is a major interest of mine, and I believe being a photographer has fundamentally changed how I observe and experience the world. My favorite things to photograph are urban centers at evening/night, and anything that moves.

Right now, I'm a photojournalist for North by Northwestern, Northwestern's online student newsmagazine. It's real fun, and you can check us out at: www.northbynorthwestern.com

My equipment consists of:

-Nikon D90

-Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5

-Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8-4.5 OS (planning to sell this)

-Tamron 55-200mm f/4-5.6

-Nikon 35mm f/2 Ai

-Nikon 50mm f/1.4 Ai

-Nikon 105mm f/2.5 Ai-S

-Yongnuo YN-462 (planning to get an additional one of this)

-Yongnuo SC-28 off camera cable

I really like experimenting and trying out different types of equipment, but at the same time being as cheap as possible. That's probably how I ended up with 3 manual focus lenses...

Things I like other than photography are:

Mountain biking

Blues, jazz, and drum 'n' bass music

Cars and motorsports

Also, I want to learn how to Parkour.
