The main influences in my artwork are C.G. Jung, nature, spiritual alchemy and metaphorical truth. When starting a new work, I usually have no preconceived ideas of the subject matter or the final imagery. I just start with random sometimes chaotic lines and shapes. Then I push and pull the forms allowing the painting to reveal itself. In some works symbols or archetypes will present themselves. In others, especially my more recent work, the imagery remains at a more non-objective abstract, emotional level. As well as painting, I also work with found objects. Basically I fuse unique found objects to the base of a small painted, embellished or wrapped square boards thus creating a Talisman. When creating a Talisman I work with juxtaposition, texture and form. Presenly i have been working with cattle panel, transforming it into sculpture and furniture.
