My kids are my first and always love. My 'day job' in an office is my career to pay the bills and I take that seriously. But it does not define me. That passion lies with my creative side, so photography and writing are my ways of counterbalancing the confining and confounding challenges of that career.

My novel Telaria River: Incursion of Chaos was my most ambitious production and attempt at something really original -- a new/different kind of faerietale, told in both full length narrative and "realistic fantasy" images. Less glittery neon and sparkles, more prickers and mud and sun and lava. OK a few sparkles :)

Meanwhile after surviving a bout with an aggressive cancer, I continue never-ending interest in learning and experimenting as an artist and portraitist. There is so much completely amazing work on flickr it is almost intimidating, but I hope I can toss a few images in here that hold their own.
