My Journey

My photographic journey started in the 1970’s whilst I was still at school. My parents bought me a Minolta SRT 101 and from there I began to develop and print my own photographs (black and white). To do this I would take over the kitchen for the night and proceed to leave a mess for my mother to clean up; including the stains on the kitchen benches from all the chemicals.

After I left school I lost contact with photography (but not interest). On new years day 2010 I decided to bite the bullet and buy a new DSLR a Nikon D5000. Here my journey commenced again.

Lets start with the bank balance, this hobby has kept me poor in $ savings (you can never have too many camera bags, lenses, filters and gadgets) but rich in nature and personal enjoyment..

I discovered I loved taking Seascapes (thank goodness I live near the ocean). I love the 4.00am rises (LOL), the fresh sea air coming off the water just before the sun rises and most of all the solitude that being the only one on the beach or rocks brings.

Also over this time I have joined a few photography groups and done various photography courses, at these events I have met some wonderful like minded people from all walks of life that just enjoy photography.. Some of these people I am now glad to call my friends

I hope you enjoy the photographs in this book in the same way as I do

Regards

Paul
