I am a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in the untamed urban landscape of British Columbia Canada in 1977.
Vancouver was a scrappy and gangly creature and this shaped my formative years.
I grew up in an environment that favored self-individualism and industriousness but always provided a seat at the table, respect was given as long as you were trying. When I was about four years old we moved to Cloverdale and the creasote-scented steel and wood-panelled walls of my formative years were replaced with stucco and tree-scented air.
Vancouver remained a place, steadfast to my childhood. I spent time baking in sun-warmed sand and was dazzled in sparkling water beneath an enormous crab sculpture at the Vancouver Museum and H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.
I live on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, writing, painting, and aiming to be published among my peers in the near future.
