I was a National Serviceman who served with 2CompOrd/2AOD in Vung Tau, South Vietnam in 1967 and 1968.

I was born and raised in the Mildura District (Cardross) in Victoria. I have however lived in Melbourne since 1968. I have 3 daughters.

My first wife Trish died of cancer in 1991. In 2002 I met Sinh in Vietnam and we married in 2005. Sinh was employed as an Interpreter/Clerk Typist with the Australian Forces Vietnam Amenities Unit at the Peter Badcoe Club in Vung Tau from 1968 to 1972. On Australia day in 2019 I received the Order of Australia Medal (OAM).
