Many thanks for taking the time to view my gallery, and for your further generosity in looking at this section. Attention is a scarce commodity these days of information overload, and I am grateful for holding yours, however briefly it may be. Rather than facts about myself, I would like share what photography means for me. And while I am aware that my aspirations are not matched by my skills, they provide a goal to strive for.

Imagination -- the mind's eye -- allows us to see beyond our limited selves. It makes us human. Photography nurtures the sense of wonder and the capacity for compassion in those who lack imagination, or have not yet looked for it deep within themselves.

Realistic art is a contradiction. So is the artistic rendering of the real. Photography dwells in the imaginative space between the two.

Photography is autobiographical. It is about what is on front of the lens as well as behind it. The photograph is merely the object, the photographer is the subject – the person behind the images we see. My photographs do not have a single subject matter because I am not one but many.
