I worked until 1986 as a press photographer in Aruba. In that year I went to study law at the age of 29 at the Catholic University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. I am practicing law since 1991 and have not taken up a camera since then until July 2009 when I bought a Nikon D700 and entered the fantastic world of digital photography for the first time. (In my time as press photographer I was taking, developing and printing my own b&w film photos [Kodak's TRI-X 400ASA]). I dedicate now some of my free time to digital sports photography. I do volunteer sports photography coverage for one of the local Aruban newspapers.
