My name is Amanda. I'm 26. I have a few gray hairs. I worry, constantly, about whether I'm living the right way or not. I am happiest when surrounded by beautiful things - I suppose that's why I take pictures. I love being outdoors. I only feel totally at peace when I'm connected in some way to the natural world. Sometimes, that just means feeling the breeze come through my bedroom window. I live with my boyfriend and my cat. I take pictures of her and I'm not sorry for it; she's beautiful.

I just bought my first digital SLR in April, 2009. I'm still learning how to use a camera. I don't think I've yet discovered my own style. I have a terribly deficient skill set when it comes to photo editing. I push random buttons. Often, I feel the opposite of creative and talented - it's something I'm working on: being gentle with myself.

Other things I like: running, reading, berry picking, cooking with fresh veggies, poetry, kayaking, bitter cocoa, scarves and fold music. And much more.

I hate to do this, but if you favorite my work and you don't have any photos of your own (or if all of your photos are of half-naked women), I am likely to block you - it just makes me a little uncomfortable.
