Alexander & Susan Maris employ a variety of media to explore concepts of the 'post-urban', and the role of landscape in cultural history and myth. They live on the edge of Rannoch Moor - a deforested expanse of granite, heather and peat-bog, whose primeval topography has inspired and informed their collaborative life-work for the past thirty-five years. The Marises exhibit internationally, and their work resides in public and private collections in Europe and North America.
