PAINTER’S STATEMENT

The most prominent theme in my work is the personification of the numinous Feminine. I am intrigued and moved by that which I can admire and look up to, and this leads me to explore such concepts as nobility, grace, power, wisdom, tranquility, elegance, forethought, love or the tangible mystery of beauty. My work is about beauty, not just of appearance, but of an ideal character or activity.

I enjoy juxtaposition of numerous influences and see the medium of oil painting as still young, with many of its secrets not yet revealed.
