Michelle Black and Jessica Price will begin accepting submissions on March 30th, 2009, and close our submissions page on May 24th, 2009. Judges will then make their final selections during the following 2 weeks and we will announce our winners the week of June 8th, 2009!

 

This contest encourages you to examine the way you relate light to your subjects. We would like to see images that include dramatic light, use of lens flare, back lit subjects, light and shadow plays, unusually lit subjects, creative use of natural light, quality of light, etc. We are judging based on creativity, use of composition, technical skill, and overall atmosphere of the image (including the relationship between light and the subject).

 

PROCEEDS

 

We are donating a portion of the proceeds to the Children's Miracle Network, and will be donating directly to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
