Always looking for a rainbow!

When I am not doing this, I love making a home and a garden beautiful. I love the process and all of the elements that go into doing so. I see a blank space and my mind goes into auto mode on imagining various decor styles for the space. As such, I am attracted to traditional to contemporary to cottage/shabby chic, even modern decors. I see a backyard or a front yard and I imagine a beautiful landscape with trees, flower beds, blooming shrubs. And so I am volunteer master gardener.

But my basic premise always remains the same, particulary for a limited budget: Keep the background quiet, punch color with small items. Because I like neutrals and strong colors, I always gravitate to quiet colors in the main room and bold colors in the smaller rooms--except for my workshop. There I design and make decorative pillows and teach sewing to children.
