Language teacher, potter, turned photographer . I'm getting such joy from photography as it has opened my world to light and shade. From pottery came an appreciation of texture, now I have light as well. \

Bushwalking (one of my favourite activities) now has an added dimension. the eye notices tiny images which were missed before.

To be able to meet up with likeminded people on Flickr has further enhanced this experience.

Just acquired a new camera the Canon 7D AND a new lens the 70-200. L series IS 2.8. Still learning how to cope with such heavy equipment and the necessity of a tripod. BUT it's SO sharp and SO exciting to have such beautiful equipment. HOWEVER as I see so often on Flickr it's not the equipment but the person using it that's important. In fact the soul and imagination behind the person!!! thanks so much for taking the time to comment on my images. I will always reciprocate and just love the fact that we all come from so many different cultures and backgrounds. where else could we communicate with so many like-minded people from everywhere in the world. Recently acquired new equipment. Have switched to Olympus camera and lenses. lighter and faster. Can use without a tripod most of the time, and so great to travel with.
