I fell in love with photography at the age of 9 after receiving my first 110 camera and I've been taking photos ever since. It's rare for a day to pass without taking at least one photo. As of Jan 24th, 2026 decided to commit to a 365 project. This is an effort to be intentional, even on days when I'm exhausted and don't have the time or energy to produce something I feel good about publicly sharing (which is most days).

Initially studied fine arts, but left without completing a degree. Had a daughter, got married, got divorced and returned to school with the with the objective of being financially independent. Ended up in a career I never would have considered because someone I met through chance encouraged me to apply for an entry-level role on her team at a multibillion dollar organization and I am forever grateful to her for seeing something in me I didn't.
Despite being competent my field, I still feel like a square peg in a round hole within my professional realm. And while my career has afforded me the privilege of choice, the cost has been a quiet-but-steady existential crisis. So after a long hiatus, I'm revisiting the Flickr-verse for challenge and inspiration and to hold space for disparate parts of myself. I don't have to be excellent everyday here, I just need to show up.
Photography is a compulsion. It's a record that I noticed.
Work in progress. Always.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well then need I say more... But I will about Annie Ominous because her photographs inspired me to join flickr, (Project 365 as well) and start taking pictures again.
