I only know Anni from Flickr (though I really wish to meet her in person some day) for ... lessee ... gee ... must've been quite a few years already... (Gosh, shame on me I didn't write this ages ago... Bad, bad Jack!) Anyway, there's no doubt whatsoever, she's one of the coolest girls around, she is! Not only does she have it all it takes for da best photographer - she *really* cares for other people. And animals. And nature. And old buildings. And ... *everything* really. No wonder, since she's a real warm and caring person. (Yeah, I know I said she's cool, but she could be cool and warm - hot even! - at the same time, couldn't she? What? Could too! How? Just wade thru her stream, and see fer yerself, yer silly bugger!) Yet her wit is sharp as a razor, plus she wields a mean sense of humour, and I know for a fact, she's packing some other deadly traits, hidden around her personality. (Oops, did I say that out loud?) She's also one of the very few people in the world that appreciates my own twisted humour - and more than that - she always stops by and leaves a kind comment - way too kind for my madiocre (sic) drolleries. Lass, you rock! And I know you've been through some very hard times lately, my dear. So sorry for that... Great vision, imaginative views, super use of colour and such a great honesty to her work - take a few minutes... nah..take a few hours and sit back and look at the stunning landscapes and the creative images collected in her portfolio - some breathtaking stuff. Well what can I say that’s not already been said below in the other testimonials. Anni was one of my earliest contacts when I joined Flickr and I distinctly remember the first picture of hers I commented on – an old tin that had the name of the American punk band ‘Ramones’ painted on it. That set the scene for what has become a friendship and sincere appreciation of each other’s work ever since. Through her lens Anni portrays her home, friends, family, dogs and the Carmarthenshire countryside where she lives so expertly, whilst at the same time giving you a real sense of the fun and lively person she is and just how much she enjoys her life. I have enjoyed watching Anni’s style and skills develop, it is always a pleasure to visit her photostream, plus her wicked sense of humour shines through the comments she makes, brightening even the dullest of days! It is through Anni’s social skills that the WelshFlickCymru group was formed and it is through that group that I have enjoyed several photo outings in the company of Anni, and I look forward to many more to come. Plus, on top of that she's a great mate, we keep in touch by phone, chit chatting and laughing the hours away (90 mins is the record call length so far) talking about the world, the universe and everything else in between and sharing our experiences in this wonderful world of photography. I never tire of looking at Anni's landscapes, they are special to me. Like places that I think I have been, but really haven't been. A timeless land of my dreams and of childhood books. A place I long to visit someday. Her interpretation of her land is sensitive and magical, her light has a warm sunniness to it like that of a lazy summer afternoon. I suspect this vision is due in part to her fun loving attitude and a certain childlike innocence. Well, maybe not that innocent ;-)

I am engaged by, and with, Annicariad's landscapes. I would marry them. She presents us with beauty that is both subtle and elegant ~ and yet almost borders the surreal in the reaction it evokes. She makes me fall in love with a part of this world I've never seen otherwise, over and over again. Visiting her stream brings a sense of renewal and awe. I wish I could sing back her song...but I'm content to listen and hum and be very, very grateful.
