Update: moved to Washington state in fall of 2014.

I currently live in Anchorage, Alaska. I move here from San Francisco in July of 1990. I lived in the SF Bay Area for nearly 13 years; the last 8 years in 'The City' itself. Prior to California I lived in SW Michigan, which is where I grew up.

I appreciate excellent photography when I see it and there is an enormous amount of talent to be found on this site.

I'm NOT a photographer, I take pictures. There's a difference. I'm happy to be able to store my pictures here to share with family and friends and if anyone else sees something they like I'll consider that a bonus!

UPDATE: On 02/27/09 we got our Canon XSi. I am currently reading through the manual (because I am a woman) and will start posting photos from the new camera. Yes, I know a camera does NOT make a person a photographer!
